Puffins are amazing birds. From late August to early April, they live in the open sea, far from the coast. They only come to land to breed and raise their young. Each pair only lays one egg per year. It breeds in burrows in dense colonies. Puffins are extremely clumsy on land and in the air, and their true element is water. Here they can dive up to 60 meters deep to capture their main food, the sand eel. The puffin's beak (the coloring of which has earned it the nickname "clown of the sea)" is a special tool: the bird has spikes on its palate against which it can press caught fish with its tongue. This allows him to catch multiple fish on a single dive
