A twenty-three member pride of lions was feasting on an adult giraffe. In the midst of all the gorging and explosive pride politics, this satiated young cub was deep in sleep, contained within the rib cage. Upon our return the next morning, all that was left was a stain in the ground and the giraffe's tail. With footprints as evidence, the hyenas had removed all other traces.
