My "Noir Tokyo" project focuses on capturing the interplay of light and shadow within the urban landscapes of Tokyo. This particular piece, titled "Parasol," showcases a fleeting moment where light filters through the narrow gaps between buildings, illuminating a couple walking together. The instant when the woman opens her parasol creates a striking silhouette, adding a sense of rhythm and harmony to their steps. This monochrome composition emphasizes simplicity and contrast, highlighting the quiet beauty hidden in the city's everyday scenes. Through this work, I aim to evoke a sense of timelessness and the subtle stories within urban life.
