Life is full of unexpected moments. One Buddha can be wrapped in a snowy robe, sitting in quiet contemplation, accepting the temporary nature of his wintry attire. Another meets an unexpected fate at the hands (or rather, shell) of a turtle, reminding us that even what seems solid can break in an instant. Yet, there is no real tragedy. The beauty of impermanence isn’t just in the passing of things, but in the way we see them. Can we embrace the unexpected with an open heart?
