SELF PORTRAIT

During my college years, I often visited Coney Island Beach. After six years, I returned to New York City and decided to revisit the beach. As I reminisced about my happiest memories there, one of the seagulls caught my attention. I wondered if the seagull, too, was reflecting on its own joyful past experiences. I took a photo of the seagull because it reminded me of myself.



I took multiple photos of the seagull, focusing on its face and pose. By choosing the right spot to take photos, I was able to use the amusement park near the beach as a background for my photos.



I took a photo of a seagull that strikingly resembles me, as I reflected on happy memories at Coney Island Beach. The amusement park adjacent to the beach provided the perfect background, evoking a nostalgic atmosphere. The face of the seagull looked just like mine, and its pose made viewers feel as though time had stopped.
